BILL IS GOING ON HIS SECOND YEAR BEING THE HEAD COACH OF OREM GIRLS VOLLEYBALL AND FIRST YEAR WITH OREM BOYS VOL-LEYBALL. BILL ENJOYS BEING A STUDENT OF THE SPORT AND WILL ALWAYS FIND WAYS TO IMPROVE AS A COACH AND AS A PERSON.
BILL HAS COACHED AND WORKED UNDER SEVERAL SUCCESSFUL PROGRAMS AND COACHES INCLUDING VOLLEYBALL COMBINES, GOLD MEDAL SQUARED, UNIVERSITY OF UTAH, DIXIE STATE, HURRICANE HIGH SCHOOL, CLUB V, ELEVATE ATHLETICS, ETC. BILL CONTINUALLY TRIES TO IMPROVE VOLLEYBALL SKILLS IN ORDER TO HELP OREM HIGH SCHOOL COMPETE AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL.
BILL CURRENTLY WORKS AS A SOCIAL WORKER FOR THE DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES AND PART TIME AS A SOCIAL WORKER IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM AT UTAH VALLEY INTERMOUNTAIN HOSPITALS. BILL LOVES BEING ACTIVE INCLUDING HIKING AND PARK DAYS WITH HIS 4 DOGS, GYM TIME, OR PLAYING PICKLEBALL.

STORM TUFUGA IS NO STRANGER TO THE SPORT OF VOLLEY-BALL. STORM GREW UP IN CALIFORNIA WHERE HE PLAYED HIGH SCHOOL AT LAKEWOOD HIGH LEADING HIS TEAM TO TWO LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS IN 2011 AND 2010. STORM HAS COLLECTED MANY AWARDS DURING HIS PLAYING YEARS INCLUDING AWARDS LIKE MCDONALD’S HALL OF FAME, SCHOLAR ATHLETE AWARD, PRESS TELEGRAM DREAM TEAM, MOORE LEAGUE MVP AND MANY MORE. AFTER HIGH SCHOOL, STORM CONTINUED HIS VOLLEYBALL CAREER WITH BRIGHAM YOUNG UNIVERSITY AND ALSO COMPETED WITH THE US MEN’S JUNIOR NATIONAL TEAM.
WHILE AT BYU, STORM MET HIS WIFE DAILYN AND HAVE BEEN MARRIED FOR 5 YEARS. STORM ENJOYS SPENDING TIME WITH FAMILY, PLAYING PICKLEBALL, HIKING AND MOST OF ALL FISHING AT STRAWBERRY RESERVOIR. OREM HIGH IS EXCITED TO HAVE STORM BACK ON OUR COACHING STAFF AND HELPING OREM ATHLETES MEET THEIR INDIVIDUAL AND TEAM GOALS.

A NATIVE OF LEHI, UTAH, TO’A GRADUATED FROM LEHI HIGH SCHOOL IN 2015. SHE STARTED PLAYING VOLLEYBALL WHEN SHE WAS 15 AND HAS LOVED IT EVER SINCE. SHE PLAYED TWO SEASONS AT LEHI AS A MIDDLE BLOCKER HER JUNIOR AND SENIOR YEAR. SHE THEN WENT ON TO PLAY AS AN OH/MB FOR HER FIRST THREE YEARS OF COLLEGE AT SLCC, REDSHIRTING HER FIRST YEAR DUE TO INJURY, WHILE EARNING HER ASSOCIATES DEGREE IN SCIENCE. SHE FINISHED OFF HER LAST TWO YEARS OF HER CAREER AT DIXIE STATE AS AN OH WHERE SHE GRADUATED WITH HER BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN RECREATION AND SPORTS MANAGEMENT IN 2021. AFTER GRADUATING FROM DIXIE, SHE HELPED OUT AT WHAT IS NOW KNOWN AS UTAH TECH AS AN ASSISTANT VOLUNTEER VOLLEYBALL COACH FOR TWO SEASONS.
SHE LOVED SAINT GEORGE BUT THERE’S NOTHING LIKE HOME SWEET HOME & SHE’S HAPPY TO BE BACK IN UTAH VALLEY.
JON STANLEY

JON STANLEY DOES NOT NEED AN INTRODUCTION. JON WAS BORN IN HAWAIl AND RAISED IN A VOLLEYBALL GYM. JON PLAYED AT HENRY J. KAISER AND COMPETED WITH OCC AND SAS CLUB. JON WAS NAMED PLAYER OF THE YEAR HIS SENIOR YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL AND HELPED HIS TEAM FINISH SECOND IN U21. JON WAS AWARDED THE FAB AWARD HIS JUNIOR AND SENIOR YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL. JON IS CURRENTLY A PLAYER ON THE BYU MEN’S VOLLEYBALL TEAM PLAYING AS A LIBERO, OUTSIDE HITTER, AND SERVING SPECIALIST. THIS IS JON’S FIRST YEAR COACHING AT OREM, ALTHOUGH JON HAS COACHED SEVERAL CLUB TEAMS AND CAMPS INCLUDING HAWAII JUNIORS VOLLEYBALL, CLUB V, BYU, UNIVERSITY OF UTAH AND UVU SUMMER CAMPS.
OUTSIDE OF VOLLEYBALL, JON IS A POKÉMON GEEK/NERD AT HEART. JON LOVES TO 50-CIALIZE AND SPENDS HIS TIME BEING ACTIVE AND HELPING OTHERS. JON LOVES HIS SQUISHMALLOWS. OREM IS LUCKY TO HAVE JON BE PART OF OUR STAFF THIS YEAR, AFTER ALL JON WON THE DALE R. MCCANN SPIRIT OF SPORT AWARD LAST YEAR FOR MALE ATHLETE WHOSE PARTICIPATION BEST EXEMPLIFIES THE TRUE SPIRIT OF SPORT IN ATHLETICS AND LIFE. JON WILL BRING THIS SPIRIT AND PASSION TO OREM HIGH.
KEVIN MAYBERRY

KEVIN IS A RETIRED (MOSTLY) SERIAL BUSINESS ENTREPRENEUR WHO LOVES BEING ACTIVE. HIS INTERESTS AND HOBBIES INCLUDE VOLLEYBALL, CYCLING (ROAD AND MOUNTAIN BIKING), CLIMBING, FITNESS, LIFTING WEIGHTS, PICKLE BALL, WAKE SURFING, GOLF, AND MOST ANY FORM OF SPORTS IN GENERAL. HE LOST HIS LEFT LEG IN A CLIMBING ACCIDENT SO SPORTS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES ARE A LITTLE MORE CHALLENGING BUT STILL DOABLE. KEVIN CURRENTLY WORKS WITH THE HIGH SCHOOL MOUNTAIN BIKE TEAMS AS A BOARD MEMBER AND PART TIME COACH. HIS VOLLEYBALL EXPERIENCE IS LIMITED TO OUTDOOR, BUT HE LOVES INDOOR TOO.
TAEJA AFALAVA-MAUIGOA

BORN AND RAISED IN KAHUKU, HAWAII, TAEJA HAS ALWAYS BEEN AROUND COMPETITIVE SPORTS. AFTER RECEIVING HONORS IN HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL AND BASKETBALL, SHE ATTENDED BRIGHAM YOUNG UNIVERSITY ON A FULL-RIDE VOLLEYBALL SCHOLAR-SHIP. SHE ENJOYED HER TIME THERE AS A STUDENT ATHLETE. CURRENTLY, TAEJA IS A MOM OF 4 AND A FITNESS ENTHUSIAST. IN THE LAST 8 YEARS, TAEJA’S PASSION AND LOVE FOR FITNESS HAS GROWN THROUGH COMPETING IN THE SPORT OF CROSSFIT.
HER PHILOSOPHY FOR OPTIMIZING ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE EMPHASIZES STRENGTH TRAINING, PLYOMETRICS AND AGILITY, MINDSET, AND NUTRITION.

JADA’S EXPERTISE IN VOLLEYBALL STEMS FROM YEARS OF PLAYING AND COACHING. JADA PLAYED VOLLEYBALL AT WEBER STATE UNIVERSITY, COMPETED IN AVP, NVL, CBVA AND ALSO LOCALLY WITH UOVA. JADA HAS COACHED MANY SUCCESSFUL PROGRAMS INCLUDING LEMOORE HIGH SCHOOL BOYS, FEEDER PROGRAMS AND BEACH VOLLEYBALL LEAGUES. JADA HAS HOSTED AND COACHED NUMEROUS CAMPS AND CLINICS. JADA IS CURRENTLY THE DIRECTOR OF A NON PROFIT, “CLUB SAND” AND HAS GAINED SO MUCH TRACTION SINCE IT STARTED.
WE ARE EXCITED FOR JADA TO TAKE ON BEING OREM’S FEEDER LEAGUE DIRECTOR AS HER KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE WILL LEAD OREM’S PROGRAM TO NEW HEIGHTS.
